Isle Of Mull Accommodation - Puffer Flat
The Puffer Flat
Once part of the blacksmiths house it was from 1975 - 1995 The Puffer Aground Restaurant and it changed to self catering in 1997. The restaurant had a maritime theme and this has been maintained because it seemed appropriate to keep it. The sitting/dining area, partially panelled and with a beamed ceiling contains portholes that came from MV LOCHFYNE, the first diesel electric vessel built and well known in these parts 40 or more years ago. The late IAN ORCHARDSON'S pictures behind them depict old friends that sailed these waters for many years. There are some notes on the pictures in the folder.
Accommodation
This is broadly similar to the Smiddy and is on the ground floor both in layout and furnishings except that the bedroom has a king sized bed that will convert to twins. A cot and a high chair are available and because this bedroom is larger than the Smiddy we would advise this property if you require a cot. Like the Smiddy the Puffer is let on the same inclusive basis and similar arrangements apply with regard to winter use of electricity.
